The Ministry of Finance has encouraged stakeholders yesterday to offer their assessment on the amendment of the law regarding VAT on tourism, in order for the reduction to be applied during this tourist season.
“The Ministry of Finance encourages stakeholders/chambers of commerce and the Taxation Council to offer their assessment as soon as possible, in order for the changes in the law on VAT to be implemented during this year’s tourist season. 6% reduction on VAT for lodging and accommodation premises is expected to boost investments in this vital sector for the Albanian economy. Its implementation will be accompanied by a growth in competition and decrease in prices”, the press release of the Ministry of Finance says. /e.i/
