Blue color is lost in this sand

Our era may be considered a very important one. If we made a graphic map of this era, it would perhaps resemble to the era of the great world wars, where the arrows of the armies were headed toward each other all over the globe.

In our era, the arrows are almost the same, but  they are not launched by armies. They contain political strategies executed through liberal political establishments and conservative populists. This is all. Our entire continent, but also the United States of America, progress in the “map” of this era. The “blue color” of the arrow of the conservatives which advanced from the heart of the continent toward the East, has fallen here, in Albania.

Today, Albania doesn’t have a political force which would represent the new political European-American trend, which culminated with Brexit and the election of Donald Trump as US President. The paradigm which has occupied a spot in the electoral campaign of the Democratic Party that “Basha has remained without western allies” has the same weight as the other one that: Albania is today the country where the blue color of western rightists was dissolved.

What happened?

1.

The “blue “ color of Albanian politics was represented by the Democratic Party. It has marked the biggest success in Southeast Europe in the fight against the most cruel communism regime in the world, by prevailing with its blue color. In the latest parliamentary elections, the 1990 “blue” fell into the abyss. Not only because it lost the elections, but because it lost after the elections. Now, it has lost democracy; it has forged ties with the traditional left; it has put itself at the service of the governing establishment; it has deceived right wing European conservative forces. Today, the DP is neither left nor right. It may be considered more like an aide of the new “libertarian” left which aims at anarchist socialism. After the reelection of the chairman who has lost several times, the DP is waiting on an offer by the government, where it will lose its color and will help the left wing government to stay on its feet.

2.

Why did the blue arrows decide to pass in Tirana? This is the question now. From the moment of Trump’s election as US President, the western political “curtain” here created a shadow of waiting.  Until 18 February, there were no signals that the West would send here the “army” of the blue colored arrow. After the start of the opposition protest, which lasted 90 days, the West hoped that the new conservative populist perspective would pass here. It also based this on the fact that the leader of opposition, Basha, mentioned some half-phrases from Trump’s doctrine and Brexit idea.  Conservative populists sent out several messages and two or three living representatives. Lulzim Basha set out toward the US in search of a photo with Trump. Everyone realized that the photo in question was taken with Trump’s “wax”, but they pretended they didn’t realize, thinking that Basha wanted to remain on that side. But this failed. Ahead of the June 25 elections, Basha started an alliance with Merkel’s establishment which is against populist right wing. He abandoned Trump’s doctrine and Brexit. He immediately entered a secret agreement with the left and betrayed the hope of the “blue color” militants. Even the West has realized that blue color “lost” here.

3.

Where did the “blue party” attack the strategy of the West blue arrow?

The main blow was focused on Parliament. Under Basha’s leadership of the DP, the left wing liberals realized their strategy for a reduction of the influence of the Parliament. The same thing was also done by the socialist left wing, but with a difference: The Socialist PM, Rama put his “opponent”, Basha, in a dead end: He told him to remove his opponents from Parliament, but he did not do the same. Now, the “blue color” no longer has renowned figures, because Basha removed them. But this is the most critical point where the right wing can be attacked.  With the surrender of DP to the left wing (SP), the vital request of the left wing liberals for existence is fulfilled: the concentration of power and the emergence of the strong leader. After this, there’s no more room for populist rightists; the blue color is lost in this sand.

4.

When is this space filled?... This space of the “blue color” cannot be filled if the DP is on the right wing’s way, at a time that it is not a right wing party. Within the DP, which claims that it’s a rightist party, there cannot be democracy and even less, “West” and “blue color” for as long as the DP has Lulzim Basha. In this “sand” where the color of the new West era is lost. Meanwhile, three important elements for a contemporary state society have been lost:

First: representation has been lost. The “opposition” people has lost the compass and representation, because it is no longer represented by the DP.

Secondly, the state has lost the debate or “conflict with the government”, something which was deemed as necessary in order not to leave state political society to fall into the abyss.

Thirdly, it has lost the western populist right wing conservative allies, which are now swarming toward the West. Here, they were lost in the “sand”.
