The first Prime Minister of Kosovo passes away after months in coma
The first Prime Minister of Kosovo, Bajram Rexhepi has passed away at the age of 63 after remaining in coma for several months.

Kosovo’s media say that Rexhepi died in a hospital in Turkey, where he had been in coma for several months.

Bajram Rexhepi, who was a surgeon by profession, was born on 3 June 1954 in Mitrovica.

Graduated in medicine at the University of Pristina in 1979, he completed his post-graduate studies in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1985.

During the war with Serbia in 1999, Rexhepi joined KLA by serving as doctor.

On 4 March 2002, Bajram Rexhepi was elected as the first Prime Minister of the country and Ibrahim Rugova as President. /e.i/
