We need a law against the right of information

Sometimes I wonder, why should we be so well informed? It’s not that we’re so much informed, but why do we lie to ourselves that we are?! This is why we should come up with a non-information law.  If the law says so, then we feel better.

Who is to blame? The media or those who influence the media; the state or the individual?!

Excess information faces us with many dilemmas. The egg has cholesterol and it could kill us-some some says. The egg has no cholesterol, others says.

Why do we need a law prohibiting information?

1.

Why do we need a news story which doesn’t reveal what has actually happened but what someone says has happened?

We have thousands and millions of information sources, but only two of them actually work out: the source which says “someone has said” and the source which says “only I know what has happened”. Although we have millions of information sources, we live in an era of informative crisis. We’re only interested on information about our daily lives, economy, security, but we don’t understand it; if we don’t understand it, it means that we are not getting it. Both political sides say that someone “has said”… What have they said? The international community has talked about the economy and our security! The government has said that “foreigners want reforms” and the “World Bank has approved the 3.5% growth”; while the opposition has said that there’s an economic program that “those of the German CDU know better”. Does this mean that we’re informed? Of course not. This is why we need a law which will protect us. At least, we need to say to the state (government+opposition) that the law doesn’t allow us to be informed on what “someone has said that it has happened”. No media tells us what has happened or what the government, opposition and police says “it has happened”. If the media sometimes uses camera, microphones or evidence, it only does this for showbiz people.

2.

Why do we need to know how the husband stabbed his wife?

At any moment of the day we hear about terrible and horrible events happening all over the country. How? Through information. Do we need a law which will protect us? Why do I need to be informed as to why such husband stabbed his wife or describe me such and such horrific crime? Horrific news story after news story can drive you insane.

All of this is not passion, but business. The media talks about horrible things because it’s so easy for it to do so. The media doesn’t know a lot, it’s ignorant. It is not hard for it to describe gruesome details o-=f a crime. But the most outrageous thing is when the victims of these horrific events demand this information. They’re called “news consumers”.

3.

We need a law which will not allow us to learn anything officially.

In fact, we’re not learning anything, although we have millions of information sources. We don’t know what the state plans for us, for our neighborhood, our city, our street or the penalties it issues against us. Nobody tells us where all profits from the drugs have gone and how many people have been killed through gang war. We don’t know why we are so poor.

Have you realized something? Everyone is fighting about news. Not to reveal the truth, but to own the news. We have often heard parties accuse each other how they don’t want the media. The scope is to get hold of the media. We have gone back to the time of the Russian dictator, Stalin, who wrote: He who has information, has the victory in his pocket. In this case, there are many naïve people who believe that someone upholds information. Nobody cares about my life or the life of the people.

Then, why do we need to know this officially? It’s better to guess. Why do you need to turn on the television and listen to the news, while there’s nothing you can do? No news story affects you. Then, why do you need to learn officially what goes around you? A law which forbids the right of information is a very good “guardian” which doesn’t allow us to lie to ourselves?

At the end of the day, lies are nothing new about humanity. People have been lying to each other since they were in the Garden of Eden.

Our lives are filled with “facts” and “proof” coming from information…
