Albania and Italy sign a memorandum of cooperation in the justice system
Albania and Italy signed on Tuesday a memorandum in the justice system with the scope of boosting cooperation as far as the legislative and penal aspects of between the two countries are concerned.

The agreement was signed in Tirana by the Albanian minister of Justice, Etilda Gjonaj and her Italian counterpart, Andrea Orlando, who held a visit in Albania.

During the joint press conference, minister Orlando said that Italy supports Albania’s integration in the EU. “The memorandum that we signed today doesn’t only affect our countries, but also Albania’s integration in the EU and the attention that Italy attaches to the Balkan countries. We want to immediately start the implementation of the agreement. Within a short period of time, we have done an extraordinary job”, Orlando said.

Meanwhile, the Albanian minister of Justice, Etidal Gjonaj said that “it’s very important to use this memorandum in order to obtain the best experience in the judicial system”.
