Three Turkish companies interested in the Vlora airport project
Three Turkish companies have submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure their bids to build the Airport of Vlora. The news was announced yesterday by the country’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama through a post on Twitter, followed by a confirmation by the Ministry of Transports.

According to this ministry, Cengiz Construction, Kalyon Construction and Kolin Construction have placed their bids to build the second international airport in the country, in the area of Akernia, where the military airport is located.

The ministry did not provide many details on the offer, but it announced that there will soon be a team of representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Finance, which will assess the bids and its technical aspects.

Sources within the ministry inform that this airport will be part of a concessionary agreement and it will be built with the money of the Turkish companies. However, this project is not part of the 1 billion euro program and the Ministry of Infrastructure did not provide any details as to how the private companies will be paid.
