Does the world have eyes for us?!

Are you not bothered by the “world’s” silence? We got used to its “love”. Day and night, there wasn’t a moment when a “foreigner” didn’t appear on screen and talk about Albania after the first or the second news story. It seems that the political crisis has been the most “generous” moment with the world.

They no longer have eyes for us since the election campaign started.

What has happened?

1.

EU-USA establish a division line on Albania:

Hoyt Brian Yee of the US State Department, not only was the last one from the “world” who came to the rescue of Albanian people at a time of crisis, but Yee may also be considered as the line that divides EU and USA in relation to Albania. The EU was not able to resolve the crisis neither in Macedonia, nor in Albania. The EU official, Fleckenstein said from Brussels: “I don’t care!” in relation to the elections in Albania. The fact that the EU could not solve the problems of the Balkan and Eastern aspiring countries, has been analyzed for a while now. Mr. Yee will soon return to Tirana, but this will not be done by any of the EU representatives.  There are reports that the moment of the solution of the political crisis in Tirana is also the moment when world “custody” belongs to the United States in front of an incompetent EU.

2.

When the “world” doesn’t have eyes for us, then our eyes search the world.

Politicians do not feel very well when the eyes of the world are not set on them. At the end of the day, those eyes serve as their mirror.  It doesn’t matter if you do anything good or bad for the people of Albania. Everyone wants to know what “they” will say at a time of crisis, at a time of protest, at a time of coalitions or at a time of elections. It seems that the vote of these people who hope all their life, has no value for the incoming government, because everything depends “on what they think”. After such a long time that the eyes of the “world” have not been seen anywhere, Albanian politicians have taken destiny in their own hands. Yesterday, the DP leader and candidate for the post of Prime Minister, Basha, declared from Korca that he’s expecting to leave for the USA where he will meet Trump.  If this happens, this will be the first time that a US president meets the Opposition. This has happened in 1948, when the opposition was considered in America, but was only received by the head of CIA. We’re not in that situation now. However, Mr. Basha’s meeting with president Trump is good news, even if he meets with the president as a prime minister.

The same thing is being done by Prime Minister Rama and leader of SP. In his drawer he keeps a photo from the meeting with Trump in the NATO summit. The Prime Minister has not yet been given permission to publish the photo, because with this, he would have an impact on the public by using the authority of the US president.

All the sides are expecting to “see” the world, even though the world doesn’t have “eyes” for them. This would be a sign of “winner” in the June 25 elections, because there’s still the psychosis that “they know who the Prime Minister of the country will be”.

3.

The world is pretending not to see anything…

When we say “world”, in our case we mean America and Europe, but opt for America more. For this reason, the “world” has decided not to issue any signals to say that “I am looking at the elections”. Neither the embassy, nor the US State Department officials or NATO will not speak before the election.

The “non-interference” principle seems that it is being used for the first time, even if it is superficial.

The only one whom we’re seeing is the OSCE ambassador, belonging to an organization which is responsible for the development of democracy through elections. But the OSCE seems “honest” with the elections here, perhaps because the ambassador had said that “here there are 2 billion euros which will be used to buy the votes of the people”.

4.

There’s no reason to have “eyes”

The “world” and the public in the country have not noticed “two sides” during this election campaign. If there were two sides, then we could have had a stronger debate, we could have tension. Not only common people, but the “world” too has created this impression. The paradigm of a “joint government after the elections” the same as in Germany or Kosovo, has made the “eyes of the world” unnecessary. Even if Trump truly receives the leader of Opposition, what will they talk about?! Will the opposition say “how good” the government is?! This has no sense. Will it say “how bad” the government is?! This is once again a violation of political etiquette, when the partner is insulted behind his back and this the White House doesn’t allow. But, the government too has nothing to say to the White House.

The eye of the world is only focused on one thing: How will the coalition be built after 25 June.
