A government like any other

A government like any other

I have the impression that a lot is being said on the government proposed by the Prime Minister. It is not an extraordinary government. Rama 2 is a government like any other. The simplest, but the most significant fact is this: Only one minister of the previous government is out of the cabinet, Mrs. Kodheli; the rest is still there.

Rama 2 cliché is not that simple. It is a product of time in all aspects:

The first aspect

“Rama 2” is the same as any other government recently formed around us. It’s also the same as France’s Macron government…  In what sense? In the sense that president Macron too achieved a big victory, but his popularity immediately started to drop. Yesterday, according to opinion polls, the popularity of the government of France has fallen up to 40%. Little by little, Macron’s government is heading to the low figures of president Hollande, who had the lowest opinion poll rates in the history of France. Of course, the SP’s victory was not a surprise like Macron’s, but it was sensational. For the first time in the history of a pluralist state, a single political party is able to form a government on its own. But, based on this model, immediately after its creation, Rama 2 government will start its inevitable fall. Chances for this to happen are big. First of all, because there was no program. Secondly, he didn’t deliver the promises he had made before and thirdly, there’s no enthusiasm within the SP about the victory. This party has turned into the domain of a handful of people. But the governments that have been formed in the past two years have not registered any stability, let alone growth in popularity. Although it’s been a year that elections were held in Spain, the government has not yet been formed. In our region, things are clearer: Macedonia formed a government in the last minute and this government is also in its last minute. Kosovo is not being able to form it. In Serbia, the former Prime Minister appointed his successor, but even the Serbs have not yet realized that there’s a new government in office. In Greece, the government is almost non-existent, but it remains in office just for the sake of the protocol. The past two years may be considered as the period of governing values. The reason for this relates to the demagogic style of the liberal elites. Rama 2 government is no different. The moment in which it was announced will also be the moment of the culmination of this government, which is similar to other governments which are falling in popularity.

The second aspect

In the internal aspect, Rama 2 government resembles to the 2005 socialist government. In the national aspect of the governing tradition, it resembles to the democrat government of 2013.

The first time, in Nano’s government, when parliamentary elections were approaching, victory seemed to glitter. Yes, truly glitter. Prime Minister Nano had launched his slogan “I have history behind me”. While now, the socialist Rama has asked people to vote him and give him the “steering wheel”. The confidence that both of them have displayed was peaking, but it’s from the peak that the fall starts. In 2005, the same as today, there was no opposition. Berisha’s DP had suffered two big defeats in 1997 and 2001 and nobody believed that it could form a government again. But at that time, the opposition had “juice”, something which was not noticed by political experts. Rama 2 is lucky, because this opposition has no “juice”, but this is even worst. The government’s fall into the abyss of the opposition is very painful and perhaps, quicker.

In the first two cases, when Nano’s government fell in 2005 and when Berisha’s government fell in 2013, the opposition has been very active. The only thing that differentiates this government from the others is the element of opposition. Meanwhile, this very element makes it like the other governments, because in our country, governments have not fallen as a result of the opposition, but as a result of themselves.

Third aspect

Rama 2 government is as bewildered as other governments. If you recall, on Sunday, the Prime Ministers of the Balkans gathered in Durres. Governments of the region and the EU too are bewildered. There are no projects, no stable economy and no governing authority. The prime ministers are waiting for someone to blow the whistle and organize a summit. But why? Without any reason. The entire media maneuver of the summits is done to create the impression that things are moving.

Demagogy and lies made the region’s governments befriend with the governments of the EU. Their passivity is the common element. Can you not see how much are governments, ministers and prime ministers worth? Serbia of kraljs elected a woman from LGBT; Kosovo elected the shortest man; in the EU, all leaders are sterile, meaning, without children. Western politology has long given the alarm that “statesmen are disappearing”…

In the end, we can also say that our government is no different than the other ones.
