DP celebrates its 27th anniversary

The Democratic Party of Albania has celebrated yesterday its 27th anniversary of its foundation.

In a reception that was hosted in the House of Concerts, the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha remembered and expressed his gratitude for those who helped in the creation of this political force, especially December students.

“We are gathered here today to commemorate the generation belonging to this great history, to honor the protagonists and to be inspired, to reflect and to start off with fresh energy”, Basha said.

According to Basha, “the December movement and the Democratic Party that was born from it, have enabled Albania to be driven toward Europe and America. As a result of this, democrats are entitled to feel proud for this political force”.

In his speech, Basha also mentioned some of the key figures of this party throughout the years.

“We are honored to commemorate those who are no longer among us. We remember Azem Hajdari and Sokol Olldashi, who founded the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party incarnates courage and your free spirit”, Basha said in front of the participants.
