Food Safety Authority will intensify inspections ahead of the holidays
The Food Safety Authority announced today that it will intensify inspections ahead of the end of the year holidays. This authority has requested more inspections to take place in restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, food markets, vegetable and fruit markets and butchers.

Based on this order, inspections will focus on those outlets which pose a high risk and those with a negative history. During this period, the authority will also increase the number of samples, especially for products which are usually consumed during the holidays, such as meat.

During this intensive operation, regional branches of the Food Safety Authority will collaborate with the local government, with the offices of public health, tax offices and state police.
