Government backs investigations against market abuses
The government backs any incentive launched by the Authority for Competitiveness in investigating different segments of the market against any abuses or monopolies.

In an international conference hosted yesterday in Tirana on the International Day of Competitiveness, deputy Prime Minister Senida Mesi underlined the fact that the Albanian government believes that the existence of a free market economy based on free entrepreneurship is guaranteed by respecting free competition in the market.

By encouraging the Authority for Competitiveness to deliver all the recommendations made by the Parliament of Albania in monitoring different markets and taking swift correcting measures, Mesi said that every incentive of the Authority for investigations in different market segments will be supported by the government.

Meanwhile, the head of the Authority for Competitiveness, Juliana Latifi said that protecting the free market, upholds, first of all, consumers’ interests, efficiency of markets and the country’s long-term economic and social prosperity.
