Authorities to launch an operation to ensure milk standards

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has announced that it will launche an operation in the sector of the production and processing of milk and its byproducts, in order to meet food safety standards.

A detailed plan of measures with the aim of ensuring food safety standers for milk and support through investments and subsidies for farmers up to 10 lek per liter for premium quality milk, are the focus of this operation.

As part of this incentive, minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Niko Peleshi has held a meeting in the district of Fier where he has met with representatives of the industry of milk, to make a presentation of the reform which is expected to kick off.

During this meeting with farmers in the district of Fier, minister Peleshi has stressed the national importance that this reform will have in improving food standards.
