EU slams Rama of fueling tensions

While analyzing the situation in Western Balkans, the European Council for Foreign Relations has written about Albania today in an article published in the official page of this Council, EFCR.eu.

In the part dedicated to Albania, it says that “Drug trafficking and money laundering flourishes in this environment”. Meanwhile, the article doesn’t hesitate to criticize PM Edi Rama of worsening relations.

“Albania has deep political divisions in which politics and clan relations intertwine in a web of vengeance and corruption. Drug trafficking and money laundering flourishes in this environment. Rather than respond to these governance failures, Edi Rama, the Albanian Prime Minister, has recently made it worse by raising the spectre of Greater Albania, feeding fears of Albanian secessionism in neighboring Macedonia”.
