During this meeting, Bushati talked about the reforms conducted by the Albanian government as part of its efforts to meet the five key priorities and praised the support of the European Commission for Albania’s European agenda.
Bushati underlined that the government is expecting 2018 to be a decisive year for Albania’s European path.
According to him, the major reform in the judicial system is unique and is being delivered in close cooperation with international partners.
Meanwhile, on their part, during these two meetings, the European Commission officials praised Albania’s commitment for the agenda of reforms.
The European Commission Deputy President, Timmermans encouraged the country to push with the reform in the judicial system, being the foundation for the strengthening of the rule of law and advancement in the process of integration.
Meanwhile, commissioner Avramopoulos praised the measures taken in the fight against corruption and organized crime, in particular the positive results yielded in the fight against the cultivation of cannabis.
