Meta-Pendaroski: Albania and North Macedonia together for the opening of accession talks in October

The launch of membership talks with the European Union for Albania and North Macedonia was one of the main topics of the meeting held between Albanian president, Ilir Meta and his counterpart from North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski.

Meta and Pendarovski met during the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) summit which was hosted in Sarajevo.

In a message on Twitter, Meta wrote that “both of our countries must unite their efforts to opening the accession negotiations in October. We must take advantage of this very positive momentum created by Prespa Agreement not only for North Macedonia.”
