Owner of Crime

Owner of Crime
By FrrokÇupi

In fact, it must be said “the owner of anti-crime”. Everyone who is outside the Palace’s walls, is waiting to obtain the ownership of victory against crime. Inside the “Palace” is the Minister of Interior of the first governing term between SP and SMI, SaimirTahiri, who is now presumed as “a drug trafficker” and collaborator in a criminal gang which operates between Europe and Albania.

This is the first time that a minister of Interior who has just left his post and appointed in other high offices, is announced “a drug trafficker” and “collaborator in criminal gangs”.

The arrest of the minister of the second term in office is expected to take place any hour now.

Within and outside the “Palace” we see two chaotic movements: The first ones are rushing to leave the “Palace” which reeks of crime; and the second ones who are looking to enter the “Palace” to take the authorship of the crime. In fact, both sides are looking to take the authorship.

The first side is the majority:

Even this morning, the head of the government, Rama, declared to opposition representatives that “you will stop the fight against crime”. The phrase “you will not stop it” at a moment when the majority was caught in the act, has no room here, but it can work for the left wing supporters. Every time minister Tahiri has been suspected for being involved in crime, the heads of the majority have declared the same thing: “You cannot stop us…”. As a minister, Tahiri has been caught in the company of paid murderers, he has used his office for a plot in a suspected murder of a politician, he has declared that he has sold his car in the in an informal manner, because he did not want to pay taxes to the state and nonetheless, he has held on to the phrase: You cannot stop us”. This way, although the majority has a minister who has been labeled as a “trafficker” now, it had secured the position of the owner of “anti-crime”.

The majority is now fighting to make sure other ministers are not arrested.

The second side is SMI:

During four years of being in a coalition with the “trafficker’s government”, the Socialist Movement for Integration never accepted that there were criminals part of the state. Although the leader of SMI and Assembly Speaker, Meta (who is President of Republic now) had his own suspicions that minister Tahiri was preparing a “murder” plot against him, he never said a word directly. During the time when large areas of the country were cultivated in cannabis and the drugs were transported to Europe by planes, SMI declared that “you’ve seen mosquitoes”. But he never said a word against crime. In that period, he was more interested on the position of the “crime owner”, while now he is on the side of the “anti-crime owner”. The SMI leaders who are below Mr. Meta, are making lots of noise outside the Palace inside of which there’s the body of the minister who is expected to be handcuffed. This is a precious asset for SMI:

First of all, to play the role of the ostrich, as if nobody “has seen anything” during the period that SMI and the SP were in government.

Secondly, to make as much “honest” noise as possible before the arrest of the main figures of SMI. If the fight against crime starts with minister Tahiri, then the SMI’s figures must certainly come second.

The third side, the DP, has a bizarre approach:

The only one who warned minister Tahiri’s and the thousands of police officers’ involvement in crime is SaliBerisha, former PM. His so called “digital citizen” has brought thousands of tips starting with Habilaj and ending up with Tahiri. Meanwhile, the rest of the DP has no contribution whatsoever. It looks like the May 18 agreement between DP and SP aimed at saving Tahiri from prison. Both leaders (Rama and Basha) know that Albanian politics has many people like Tahiri.

What is today’s position of the DP toward Tahiri? Tahiri’s story shouldn’t have happened now, according to the DP. The first reason relates to the fact that there are still living instruments of the agreement between SP and DP. If the DP fights against crime and demands fresh elections, socialists may reveal their “dirty things” and talk about the secret agreement. The DP is only raising its voice just a little to make it look that the “democratic” government also has opponents.

But, the DP doesn’t want fresh elections or a fall of the socialist government. If PM Rama were to step down of the government at this very moment, it would not be seized by Basha, but it would go to people like Veliaj, for instance. Veliaj and any other like him, could remain in power for another 8 years. Basha doesn’t want this. He wants to seize power as soon as possible. So, he needs Mr. Rama to remain in power for the full term and then power will be given to him. These are games which can almost be considered as criminal.

This is why they need the authorship on “crime”.

In fact, none of them is the owner of steps taken against crime. The true owners of this fight are Albania’s allies, out of their Palace and out of the borders of the country.
