Minister Gjiknuri holds talks about the Adriatic-Ionian highway
The Adriatic-Ionian highway, one of the most important infrastructural projects of the region, is soon expected to start.

This was confirmed by the Albanian minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri during the talks that he had with the Montenegrin ministers of Transport and Economy, Osman Nurkovic and Dragica Sekulic.

“We discussed on projects of road infrastructure, where the priority of both countries is the Adriatic-Ionian highway. We have obtained the necessary funding to conduct the final feasibility study. I was also informed on Montenegro’s infrastructural development projects, which have a direct impact on Albania”, minister Gjiknuri said.

Meanwhile, the Adriatic-Ionian highway is the highway which extends in the eastern coasts of the Adriatic and Ionian seas. The highway starts in Trieste, Italy, it crosses Slovenia, enters Croatia, crosses Bosnia and then reaches Montenegro.
