Albanians vote for the new Parliament
Around 3 million Albanians are heading to the polls today to elect the new Parliament of the country.  These elections come after a political crisis which lasted for three months and a political agreement reached between the leader of the majority, Edi Rama and leader of opposition, Lulzim Basha, in scheduling a new date for the elections and on including opposition representatives in the government and in key positions of the administration with the aim of ensuring a rigorous control over the electoral process.

Meanwhile, the voting process has been quiet so far and until 5 pm, the turnout has been relatively low. However, new developments are expected in the hours to come, as the recent elections have shown that a significant number of voters decide to vote in the last minute. /e.i/
